Solar Water Heaters

Introducing SolaHart

Solahart the leading producer of solar water heaters manufactured in Australia and they supply to over 70 countries worldwide. Installing a solar heater system from Solahart will have a huge impact on your water heating energy consumption. It’s one of the best things you can do to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions and beat rising energy costs.

Thermo siphon Roof Mounted Systems

All Solahart solar water heating systems, where the tank is roof-mounted, use the Thermo siphon principle to collect heat from the sun and transfer it to your hot water. The Thermo siphon principle is based on two naturally occurring phenomena:

The process

•  Dark objects absorb heat
•  Hot water rises

All Solahart collector panels are coated with a dark, heat-absorbent surface. This coating absorbs the sun’s rays and heats the fluid in the collector panel. As the fluid heats, it rises to the top of the collector panel and into the tank where it displaces cooler fluid which flows in to the bottom of the collector panel where the process is repeated.

The greater the temperature differences between the fluid in the collector panels and the water in the tank the faster the flow between them. In open circuit systems the fluid in the collector panel is water while in closed circuit systems a special antifreeze fluid is used.

When heated in the collector panel, it is circulated in a jacket around the tank to transfer the heat to the water inside. Closed circuit systems are recommended for frost prone areas or in situations with poor water quality.

In this way Solahart hot water systems constantly soak up the sun’s energy to maximize your energy savings. With a Solahart Thermosiphon solar water heating system you can choose from a range of boosters including in-tank electric or gas boosters to ensure you always have hot water on tap even on cloudy days.

Solahart Water Heater

We all know that energy consumption has a huge and serious effect on the environment. The energy we use every day emits harmful greenhouse gases which contribute to climate change.

Electric water heating is the biggest contributor to household greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for around 25% of the average homes carbon footprint. With a Solahart water heater which uses the sun’s natural energy you could save up to 50-90% of your water heating energy consumption, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 3 – 3.5 tonnes every year, which is the equivalent of taking a 4 cylinder car off the road.

With hot water free from the sun, you’ll reduce your impact on climate change and make a positive step for future generations. What if the sun isn’t shining?

All Solahart water heaters are fitted with a gas or electric in-tank booster, which operates only when you need it. Or you can choose to have an in-line booster, where the hot water from your tank is piped to the booster which senses the temperature and activates if it is less than the set temperature.

The in-line booster has a 5 star energy rating; keeping your energy consumption as low as possible. That means you can enjoy hot water when you want it, even on overcast days or at night. With Uganda’s abundant sunshine it makes great sense to get your hot water FREE from the sun.

With Solahart solar water heater you can enjoy big savings in your energy bills and reducing your greenhouse gas emissions.
